Simulation Engineer required by a progressive, leading edge company based on Auckland’s North Shore. With an absolute focus on delivering projects right first time in the most professional and efficient way possible for their clients.

A leading supplier of integrated automated technology, software and maintenance services to optimize the supply chain. Our client employs people within New Zealand and at various offices globally.

Our client designs, builds and supports material handling, logistics solutions that optimize material and information flow within factories, warehouses, airports and distribution centres globally.

To be successful in your application as a Simulation Engineer you will be skilled/experienced in the following:

  • Simulation model development on medium to large-sized material handling simulation projects
  • Conducting studies on the performance of complex material handling systems
  • Involved in pre-sales support activities
  • Helping to develop customer presentations.
  • Performing data collection and preparation of model specifications
  • Develop, program, and optimize project specific control algorithms to maximize system performance and meet client requirements
  • Design and developing precise and effective computer-based models of material handling systems which may include: various conveyor types, automatic guided vehicles, automated storage and retrieval systems
  • Working across various departments on timelines and resources to successfully implement projects.
  • Mechanical design principles

Along with the above skills and experience you will possess excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude and have completed either a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Mathematics. You will have knowledge of quantitative analysis techniques, simulation, and flow analysis with proven experience in mathematics and statistics. Experience with either Java, C, VBA or MATLAB is required with experience/knowledge of AutoMod, FlexSim or Demo3D a real advantage.
